NIIT UNIVERSITY MBA FEES SCHEDULE, FUNDING AND SCHOLARSHIPS.

Program Fees for Academic Session 2011-12: Rs 4,40,000/-
Payment Schedule:
* Rs 10,000/- (non-refundable, towards Processing Fees) to be paid within the time frame given in the offer letter (usually 7 days from the date of offer letter)
* Rs 4,30,000/- within the timeframe given in the offer letter (usually 22 days from the date of offer letter)
* Program fees would increase by 10% for the second year (academic session) 2012-13
Hostel Fees without Boarding for 2011-12: Rs 1,00,000/
(for single-room accommodation)
Payment Schedule:
* Rs. 100000/- to be paid latest by 7th July, 2011.
* Fees are exclusive of expenses incurred on food, laundry and other items of a personal nature which have to be paid for separately.
Note
* Program Fees for 2011-12 may be paid in 3 instalments — Rs 2,25,000/-,Rs 1,20,000/- and Rs 1,20,000/-. Hostel Fees may also be paid in 3 instalments – Rs 45,000/-, Rs 30,000/- and Rs 30,000/-. For both Program and Hostel Fees, the first instalment is payable within the timeframe given in the offer letter (usually 22 days from the date of offer letter, and subsequent instalments are due on Registration Dates for Terms 2 and 3. Rs 10,000/- to be paid towards processing fees is additional. A similar schedule would also be available for the second academic year 2012-13.
* Program and/or Hostel Fees may be paid for the entire two year program before the start of the 1st year latest by 7th July 2011 (subject to following the other timelines mentioned above). In such a case, total Program Fees payable would be Rs 8,80,000/-, and Hostel Fees payable would be Rs 2,00,000/- before 7th July 2011.
* In case the total of first year’s Program and Hostel Fees are paid before the start of academic session 2011-12 (as per the timeline given in offer letter) and the total of Program Fees and Hostel Fees for the second year are paid before the start of the session 2012-13, the total amount payable will be Rs.1144000.00 (Rs. 540000.00 for the first year and Rs. 604000.00 for the second year).
Bank Loans:
The University makes arrangements with identified banks for pre-approval of the programs for purposes of Education Loans. For the admissions of 2010, Indian Overseas Bank and Central Bank of India had provided special facilities for such loans, and students were required to apply to the branch of the concerned bank nearest to their residence. Similar arrangements are in the process of being finalized for Admissions of 2011. However, students are free to approach any bank for this purpose. Typically, loans for a maximum of RS 15,00,000/- are granted towards Program Fees, Hostel Fees and other applicable expenses after appropriate credit appraisal of the candidate. It is clarified that NIIT University has no role to play in the appraisal and loan decisions of any bank.
Scholarships:
The University grants scholarships liberally, to a maximum of 30% of its MBA students. A maximum of 15% students will receive a 50% fee-waiver for the 2-year Program Fees, and another 15% (maximum) will receive a 25% fee-waiver for the 2-year Program Fees. Students receiving scholarships will have to maintain scholastic standards stipulated by the University on a term-to-term basis and will also have to set aside upto 10 hours per week for tasks assigned by the University. Candidates will have to make a separate Scholarship Application (available on the University website from 15th January 2011) and submit it prior to their appearance at the Selection process. Scholarships will be awarded primarily based on Merit (scores obtained during the Selection Process), with additional consideration of need and motivation for scholarship.
